Yay! Shameless plug time!
By now, most of you know I’m in Marquee Five, a MAC Award-Winning vocal group. Hopefully, you know about our 2010 show “8-Track Throwback,” and by now you may know we are raising money via Kickstarter.com for a CD album of this show. We have until March 31st, 2011 to raise the funds necessary for this album.
Last night, the theme for The Salon Open Mic was “Rock On!” and the co-host was the band Hey Guy. I took full advantage of them and Marquee Five pianist Mark Janas and asked them to rock out with me on “Move Over,” the Janis Joplin solo I have in “8-Track Throwback.” It was great! However, this recording is from my iPhone, and not studio quality. I dream of this track being recorded in high fidelity digital soon – if you can help, please go to M5’s Kickstarter page and donate (and get gifts in return for your pledges!). We can’t make the CD without you!
Thanks go to Hey Guy for workin’ the grooves with me!
