March 24th! It’s my Birthday…and…

Marquee Five’s Debut CD…The Final Push!

These are the voyages of Marquee Five and it’s continuing mission this month to raise enough funding for our debut CD! It also happens to be my birthday (see below…just look at my baby face in that ridiculous hat!) and we have one week left of our Kickstarter.com campaign. We still need your help to get to our goal of $15,000 by March 31st, 2011. $15,000 is truly the minimum we need to record our CD, but we are currently at 85%. Click on the this link to pledge and become one of our micro-Producers! Terrific thanks to everyone who has already pledged! You guys rock!

Marquee Five Performances — TWO this Weekend!!!

The first is this Saturday, March 26th – the full-band, full-set performance of “8-Track Throwback” at the Laurie Beechman Theater at 4pm. Show your actors’ union or MAC card for $10 tickets! (normally $17), and there is a $15 food/drink minimum.  More info at: www.lauriebeechmantheatre.com. The show pays tribute to the singer/songwriters of the 60’s and 70’s with all new arrangements by Adam West Hemming.   Featuring your favorites from Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Leonard Cohen and more, “8-Track Throwback” is a re-imagined and joyous celebration of the music that takes you back.

The second is the next day, Sunday, March 27th, – we have been honored by The Salon Open Mic (2010 MAC Award for Open Mic!) with an invitation to co-host the evening of March 27th (7-10:30pm at Etcetera Etcetera Restaurant). It will be the last chance in the month of March to sample some of the music from “8-Track Throwback” we hope to record on the CD. Come join us! Or, if you can, continue supporting Marquee Five by passing on our Kickstarter link, donating, or increasing already pledged contributions.

Thanks for reading!

Cheers,
Sierra Rein
