Every year for the past four years, the Metropolitan Room has hosted the MetroStar Talent Challenge, an Idol-like singing competition that takes place in the Met Room itself over a series of weeks. This year, the 2012 MetroStar Challenge starts on July 9th and runs until August 20th. The submission process is now going on (ends June 15th), and I hope my submission will be one of those chosen by June 30th! The winner, which will be announced on the final night, will be given a fully produced solo show at the Metropolitan Room and a professionally done live recording CD of the show – last year’s winner was Marissa Mulder (read about her win here).
