Review – “Porgy and Bess” on Broadway

I almost pinched myself whilst sitting in the balcony of the Richard Rogers theater Friday night (August 3, 2012) – finally I would be able to see the Broadway production of “Porgy and Bess,” featuring at least three amazing musical theater performers – Norm Lewis, Audra McDonald, and David Alan Grier. Neil Sedaka Special Guest at Concert Featuring Marquee Five

August 2, 2012 Marquee Five performed at a special show at The Concerts for City Greens on August 2, 2012, with special guest Neil Sedaka present to enjoy the festivities, duet with his niece Holland . M5 sang a medley of Sedaka’s earliest hits, a five-part-harmony arrangement of “Solitaire,” and sang backup for Raissa Katona Bennett (Phantom of the Opera B’Way) on “Love Will Keep Us Together.” Images of this performance can be found on Facebook here.

Rain Alert! The Concerts For City Greens moved to rain date August 2, 2012 6:30pm

August 2, 2012Marquee Five will perform at a special show at The Concerts for City Greens on August 2nd, 2012 at 6:30pm with special guest Neil Sedaka. Please note: This concert was originally scheduled for August 1st, but has been rescheduled due to rain. All other details about the concert remain unchanged. Marquee Five will sing a number of Sedaka hits, all original arrangements by Adam West Hemming. Other special performers include Jim Van Slyke, Carole Demas (Grease), singer-songwriter Will Reynolds and Sedaka’s niece, newcomer Holland Grossman, who will make her Broadway debut in Rebecca.
