Returning to The Theatre of NOTE‘s “A Mulholland Christmas Carol”

November 25, 2005Sierra will revisit the role of Ellen Beach Yaw, the American opera diva, in The Theatre of NOTE‘s “A Mulholland Christmas Carol.” Touted as “The Nutcracker for Hollywood-Land!” and “A Christmas tale of flood, famine and fun!” this is a romp through the historical water baron William Mulholland and the St. Francis Dam. Think of it as “A Christmas Carol” meets “Chinatown.” The cast will also perform a special tour in the Owens Valley, CA, proceeds to benefit the Owens Valley Outreach Program.

BOOKED: “The Night of the Black Cat,” Edgemar Center for the Arts

April 11, 2005Sierra can be seen in multiple roles – Edith Piaf, George Sands, Lactella, La Goulou, and Commedia Clown – on various nights of “The Night of the Black Cat,” running April 15 – June 11, 2005. It is a provocative, time-bending, fun-filled musical set in the French Cabaret “Le Chat Noir” club in Paris, 1881, featuring forbidden poetry, passionate dancing, and sensual music. At the Edgemar Center for the Performing Arts.

BOOKED: Second Soprano in “Master Class,”

June 26, 2004Sierra will be taking over the role of the Second Soprano in the Fountain Theatre‘s production of “Master Class,” performing at the Odyssey Theater. In “Master Class,” the theater becomes a classroom as renown soprano Maria Callas terrorizes and inspires three vulnerable young opera students. Read this article from the Beverly Press.

BOOKED: Staged Reading of “The Absence of Weather,”

May 7, 2004Sierra has been cast in a staged reading of “The Absence of Weather,” written by Ken Urban and directed by Susan Boulanger. Part of the Son of Semele Ensemble‘s 2004 reading series RAPID: Readings as Projects in Development. She will play Josephine Forrestal, wife of the lead character, US Secretary of Defense James Forrestal.
