The MAC Award season is upon us, and Marquee Five is in the running for a nomination for Best Vocal/Instrumental Duo/Group! Check out the MAC Website for a downloadable PDF (we’re on page 5). If you’re a MAC voter, please consider nominating us once you receive your list of potential nominees in the mail! The nominees will be announced the day after my birthday, March 25th – let’s just hope I get a day-late birthday present! 😀 The info on the nomination announcement is listed on this Facebook Event. -S

Special Marquee Five news!

There will be two upcoming shows of “We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander and Ebb” at Don’t Tell Mama, February 25th and April 15th, 2010 at 8:30pm. That means pick up your pencils – nay your PENS – and put us in your calendar! Marquee Five debuts “We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander & Ebb”

December, 2009Sierra debuted with the new vocal group Marquee Five – www.marqueefive.com – at the Metropolitan Room and Don’t Tell Mama, performing “We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander & Ebb.” This was a full hour of songs from “Cabaret,” “The Rink,” “Flora the Red Menace,” “Chicago,” and other beloved Kander & Ebb pieces. This is the first of many future performances by the group!

Tomorrow the magic of Marquee Five begins…!

We had our tech early this afternoon, and man can you say “5 people + 5 mic cords =?!?!?!?” eight times fast? But it was thrilling to be on stage and are very proud with the way we look and sound.
